Presentation Skills – Quick Way to Build Rapport In Group

Building rapport with a group is a skill that many people develop naturally through everyday life experience. To be successful as a presenter you need to be able to take your skills in connecting with others to a higher level. This process begins with being consciously aware of how your behavior takes you closer to or farther away from your goal. Observe what works and what gets in the way. If you’re presenting to a client you’ve met before you may spend a few minutes chatting about a common interest, the results of a football match or some other current news story.

Obviously if you’re dealing with ‘Driver’ behavioral types you need to keep this to the minimum or they’ll switch off, especially if they’re tight on time.
